Berlin Forum’s Members’ New Book

03/19/2018 by Krzysztof Skowronski Leave a Comment

We are happy to announce that the prestigious publishing house, Brill (Leiden-Boston), has just published The Life of Reason in an Age of Terrorism, co- edited by the members of Berlin Forum (Charles Padrón and Chris Skowoński). The idea of the book was born during the international conference organized by Berlin Forum in 2016 (special thanks for organizing the event should go to the chair, Maja Niestroj, to the event manager, Karolina Knopik, and to Berlin Forum’s Schirmherr John Lachs (Vanderbilt University), who had proposed the conference theme a year before.

The intention of the book is to show that philosophy in general, and the philosophy of G. Santayana in particular, can offer practical solutions in difficult times.
